Artisan Story
Originally used in Turkish baths, Turkish towels (also called peshtamels or hammam towels) have been hand-loomed in Turkey for centuries. Made from extra-long, tightly woven fibers, they are lightweight, soft, and highly absorbent. The herringbone pattern reflects the timeless heritage of Anatolian design.
Our towels are crafted in small, family-owned workshops in the Denizli region of Turkey. Skilled artisans rely on weaving as their livelihood, preserving this centuries-old craft with meticulous manual techniques. Only eco-friendly, OEKO-TEX certified, 100% natural fibers are used, with colors achieved through non-harmful dyes. Tassels are hand-knotted by women in their homes, making each towel a unique work of art.
