Artisan Story

Rooted in centuries of tradition, Turkish towels—known as peshtemals or hammam towels—were first created for use in ancient bath houses. Loomed from extra-long, tightly woven cotton fibers, they’re celebrated for being lightweight, incredibly soft, and highly absorbent. Their intricate patterns reflect the rich heritage and vibrant motifs of Anatolian culture.

Our Turkish towels and throws are woven in small, family-owned workshops in the Denizli region of Turkey, where weaving remains a vital craft passed through generations. These skilled artisans use OEKO-TEX certified, eco-friendly, 100% natural fibers and non-harmful dyes. Each tassel is hand-knotted by local women, preserving a beautiful tradition of slow, intentional craftsmanship.
